Cutler leads Bears to comeback victory

by Dale Redman | Mon, Sep 15th 12:12am EDT

Jay Cutler started off slow against the 49ers Sunday night, but brought the Bears roaring back for the comeback victory in San Francisco. The injuries to Brandon Marshall and Alshon Jeffery were apparent early as the Bears fell behind 17-0. In what became a signature game, Cutler rallied the Bears to a 28-20 win finishing with a modest 176 yards passing but 4 TD passes. The QB even led the Bears in rushing yards with 27.

Fantasy Impact:

Expectations were low for Cutler, facing a tough defense and quite possibly missing his top 2 receiving weapons. While Cutler may not of had the big passing yardage numbers, he did finish with 4 TDs. More importantly, the QB had zero turnovers and finished as the 2nd highest scoring QB, so far, in Week 2. Look for Cutler to be a must start next week in New York as the Bears face the Jets on Monday Night Football.
