VJax may be getting held back by conservative play calling

by Matthew Schultz | Tue, Sep 16th 12:57am EDT

Jeff Tedford was supposed to install a high octane offense, but right now it's looking stagnant at best. On Sunday, VJax was a casualty of the Bucs' slow & conservative offense, when he only recorded 51 yards. The Bucs showed little faith in McCown when they decided to run it three times in the redzone for little gain and failed to call a pass play. (Pewter Report)

Fantasy Impact:

Had VJax been give an opportunity to make a touchdown, his numbers could have been respectable; however, it was another sad outing for him. The good news here is that he will be given another opportunity at backing up his fourth round ADP right away when the Bucs face the Falcons on Thursday. Since the Falcons have a fast paced offense, it won't be surprisingly if the Bucs will have to play from behind during most of the game, so VJax should be given his fair share of targets.
