Per Adam Schefter, the Eagles are signing RB LeSean McCoy to a one-day contract so he can retire with the team.

After 12 long seasons, 11,102 rushing yards, 3,898 receiving yards, 89 touchdowns, six Pro Bowls, and a Super Bowl, McCoy has signed a one-day deal with the Eagles and has retired.

McCoy (illness) was originally listed as questionable for Saturday’s playoff game against Washington, but ultimately ended up being ruled out. He was also inactive for the season finale against the Falcons and had only one touch in his last in-game appearance. Ke’Shawn Vaughn is expected to handle the Buccaneers RB3 duties behind Ronald Jones and Leonard Fournette while McCoy is sidelined.
