Uneven Cutler leads to Bears loss

by Dale Redman | Sun, Sep 28th 4:07pm EDT

In a huge rivalry game versus Green Bay, Jay Cutler had an up and down game leading to a blowout loss. While Cutler passed for 2 TDs and 256 yards, he also had 2 big second half interceptions that changed momentum. Cutler also added 29 yards rushing.

Fantasy Impact:

In the first half, it looked like Cutler was going to have a monster game. Passing for 2 TDs and 170+ yards already, Cutler lead the Bears on a last minute drive before halftime, looking for more. On a controversial call, Martellus Bennett was ruled one yard short of the end zone as time expired. Coming out at halftime, Jay was a completely different QB. Throwing only 80 yards and 2 INTs in the second half before eventually getting pulled for Jimmy Clausen, due to the blowout score. This type of game is what you can expect from Culter all year long. The big passing numbers leading the Bear's high powered offense can provide. While also committing the big turnovers that limit his fantasy success. With all that being said, Cutler is still a QB1 that you want to start every week. Look for another chance for a big game next week in Carolina, who were just torched by Joe Flacco for 300+ yards and 3 scores.
