Aaron Rodgers says Eddie Lacy was a different runner in Week 5

by Eric Anderson | Tue, Oct 7th 7:44pm EDT

On his weekly radio show, quarterback Aaron Rodgers compared Eddie Lacy's running in Week 5 against the Vikings to the previous four weeks: “He just got some more opportunity to run through big holes and he ran with a lot of confidence. There wasn’t any stutter step in the open field. He was looking for contact, and I think that is when Eddie runs at his best." (Milwaukee Journal Sentinel)

Fantasy Impact:

Trust the man who leads this offense and is the lynch pin of its success. Rodgers noted that Lacy was running with more confidence and it showed as the second-year back was hitting holes with power and not shying away from contact downfield. But, Rodgers made another great point saying that Lacy was given more running room by the offensive line. That may be the biggest change for the Packers offense and is partially the effect of the pass game firing on all cylinders and weaker opponents. Look for Lacy to continue to deliver on his high draft-day price going forward.
