Matthew Stafford's struggles continue in Week 6

by Dan Catterson | Rams Correspondent | Mon, Oct 13th 2:50pm EDT

Detroit Lions' quarterback Matthew Stafford produced an underwhelming 185 yards and a score on 19 of 33 passing in the Week 6 win over Minnesota. (ESPN)

Fantasy Impact:

Instead of playing decoy as he did the previous two weeks, Calvin Johnson sat out Sunday's game - resulting in another sub-par performance from Stafford. Since Johnson's ankle injury, Stafford has seen his production decrease each week. In fact, he's averaged only 236 yards the last three weeks as opposed to over 294 yards his first three weeks with Johnson healthy. Currently there's talk of Johnson sitting out until the Lions' bye in Week 9, meaning Stafford owners may want to look elsewhere the next two weeks. Kirk Cousins, Derek Carr, Carson Palmer and even Brian Hoyer (at JAX Week 7) are potential replacements.
