Geno Smith takes care of ball, impresses in loss to Patriots

Geno Smith completed 20 of 34 passes for 226 yards and a touchdown as the Jets fell to the Patriots 27-25 on Thursday night. Perhaps most impressively, Smith had his first turnover-free game of the year against a team who is tied first for takeaways, and contributed 47 of the New York Jets' 218 rushing yards on the evening. Fantasy Impact:
Geno Smith did take a step forward on Thursday night, but his inability to excecute consistently in the red zone - highlighted by New York's four field goals in the first half - prevents him from being a high fantasy scorer. That's true even when he doesn't give the ball away. He's still on the avoid list.
