What's holding back Eddie Lacy?

by Eric Anderson | Fri, Oct 17th 5:48pm EDT

Eddie Lacy is rushing nearly 6 times less per game this year than last year, and it may be part of why his production has declined, suggests Rob Demovsky, ESPN. On average, Lacy is rushing for nearly 27 yards less per contest. (ESPN)

Fantasy Impact:

While this may be one reason, it appears to be a part of a larger trend. Less for Eddie Lacy, more involvement for James Starks and terrible O-Line rush blocking means less individual production for both. Lacy, and Starks, have a nice matchup against a poor Carolina rush defense this week. There's no way of telling which back will get more touches, and Coach McCarthy suggests that he's fine with both being involved.
