Fantasy Impact:

DeMarco Murray's successful 2014 season continued with 128 yards and a touchdown versus the Giants on Sunday. Murray's 7th straight 100 yard rushing performance also made him one of three players in NFL history with more than 900 rushing yards over their first seven games. The only concern for Murray is that it now is three consecutive weeks where Murray was below five yards per rush; his yards per carry through the first four weeks was nearly 5.4 and it is now 4.88 for the season. He also had 14 receptions in Weeks 5 and 6, possibly showing that he would be more of a part of the passing game; he only had one reception for four yards in yesterday's 31-21 victory, showing that Weeks 5 and 6 were not indicative of his involvement in the passing game. The Giants defensive line looked very strong against a Cowboys offensive line without Doug Free and next week's matchup might be tough as well. The Redskins have a top-10 defense on the season and Murray needs to find his opportunities against a strong Redskins' front four. Even saying all of that, Murray is still the top running back option for Week 8 and will find a way to reach 100 yards again versus Washington.
