Fantasy Impact:

Terrance Williams had two potentially game changing catches against Seattle in Week 6 and while he only had one catch in Week 7 it was a huge play. Tony Romo thought that the play was broken and scrambled to find Williams open in the endzone for a 18 yard touchdown that tied the game at 14 right before halftime. This marked the sixth touchdown for Williams on the season, tied for fourth in the NFL. Most importantly for fantasy purposes, only Julius Thomas and Daniel Fells have a greater touchdown to reception ratio than Williams' 31.5%; this information, as well as a nearly 18 yard per catch average, is clear evidence that quarterback Tony Romo looks to him for impact plays. A big worry for a player like Williams is that he does not catch a lot of balls, only has caught five or more passes three times in his career, and he has only caught 60% of targeted passes over his two year career. A lot of the low target rate comes from the fact that Williams runs a lot of fly and go routes that are either caught or overthrown, but a lack of consistent catches is still alarming. With Williams, you have to accept that his value comes from catching touchdown passes and if he does not catch touchdowns he will be a single digit fantasy performer. The best way to have a player like Williams in your weekly starting lineup is if you have a stable option at wide receiver to pair him with.
