Jared Cook is averaging 7.5 targets per game and is catching almost 60% of those targets per outing. However those catches amount to just 50 yards per game and 0 TDs total for the season. (Sporting Charts)
Fantasy Impact:
It's been a disappointing season thus far for Cook, whose fantasy stock has shot down faster than Bradford's knee. Sadness aside, he still leads the team in targets heading into Sunday's game versus the Chiefs. This game could turn into check down mania for Austin Davis who'll be running for his life, hoping to avoid the Hali-Houston sandwich. This should open up things for Cook who faces a Chiefs team giving up the 6th most fantasy points to TE's. Oh and by the way, Eric Berry might not even start so that could be the cherry on top for a Top 10 TE Week 8 ranking for Cook. If you're in need of a strong PPR flex option or emergency TE replacement (looking at you Jimmy Graham) then Cook should be your guy.
