Adrian Peterson hopes to return to the field in Week 11

by Kevin C. Wilson | Wed, Nov 5th 11:57pm EST

According to his attorney, Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson is hoping to return to the field for their Week 11 game against the Chicago Bears. In order to do that Peterson must be reinstated by the NFL first and his attorney Rusty Hardin is encouraging the league to expedite the process. "It only takes an airplane trip to do it," Hardin said. "I'm hoping that can be done quickly and I'm hoping the NFL is receptive to it and agrees to it and get this issue off the front page, because it's time for him to go back and...play football." Fantasy Impact:

While there are still plenty of hurdles to overcome with both the NFL and the Vikings, it is looking more and more likely that Adrian Peterson will return to the field this season. And all signs are pointing to it being sooner rather than later. In his absence rookie quarterback Teddy Bridgewater has become the centerpiece of the offense, but it's hard to believe that an all-time talent like Peterson wouldn't be able to find a way to produce as well. The Vikings are on a bye this week so they have until at least November 16th to figure out what to do with Peterson going forward. Fantasy owners will be waiting with bated breath to find out.
