Montee Ball

Montee Ball returns to practice

by Steve Painter | Thu, Nov 6th 12:30am EST

Ball has been out since Week 5 with a groin injury. His return has been met with a yawn in fantasy circles since Ronnie Hillman is slated to be the lead RB and Ball will be more of a change of pace guy. (Lindsay Jones)

Fantasy Impact:

Except in dynasty leagues, Ball is not even on the fantasy radar of most teams. With the emergence of Hillman and his steady performances, Ball becomes more droppable each week. If you're in a keeper league, go forth with the knowledge that both RBs are under contract for the next couple of years. And John Fox will remember that Hillman stepped up at a crucial time for the team and be led to reward that effort. If Ball wants the lead job, he is going to need a break and be ready to step in, proving he is the same player the team had so much confidence in before the injury.
