Montee Ball has trimmed down to 212 lbs.

While rehabbing for the past month with a groin injury, Ball has also used this opportunity to cut his weight and improve his agility. He opened the season at 225 lbs. but has now shed nearly 15 lbs. He is reportedly now healthy and feels more agile and elusive. (Arnie Stapleton - AP)

Fantasy Impact:

After watching Ronnie Hillman seize the starting RB role, Ball figures to work in this week as a change of pace back (not dissimilar to his tandem role with Knowshon Moreno last season). Facing a positive matchup and game script, Denver should score early and often against OAK, which could bode well for Montee Ball in the 2nd half. However, Ball is a dicey flex play this week with his role still undetermined, but he remains a must hold as Hillman's handcuff and Denver's change of pace RB.
