Dez Bryant to meet with Jerry Jones on Friday

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport is reporting that Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant will meet with Jerry Jones on Friday. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

It appears that we could find out Bryant's fate with the Cowboys very soon. The once-regarded WR1 is meeting with Cowboys owner Jerry Jones about his future with the team on Friday. Per Rapoport, the Cowboys can afford to carry Bryant's contract into the 2018 season -- they've cleared up their salary cap issues since the start of the new league year. However, it doesn't mean that they want to as Jones is expected to ask Bryant to take a pay-cut, perhaps to an incentive-based, "show-me" deal. At this point, Rapoport believes that there is a good chance Bryant remains with Dallas in 2018. Though, it's not a lock by any means. From a fantasy football perspective, while Bryant's ADP has surely dropped in recent years, he hasn't lived up to his second or third round stock. Therefore, unless he falls further, I'd be more inclined to target Allen Hurns in the later rounds of fantasy drafts. It's within reason to believe that Hurns could lead Dallas in receiving in 2018.
