Andre Ellington called out in Monday press conference

When asked about Andre Ellington's declining production, Bruce Arinas stated that he believes its due to Ellington needing to be held out of practice with multiple injuries. Arians stated his disappointment in no uncertain terms "It's showing up too much on Sundays right now," Arians said. "Then, obviously, he can't run well enough in the passing game for us to do some things. He saw a ghost on the screen pass out there, turned around and lost 4 yards when he should've had about 20. Just some of those things." (ESPN)
Fantasy Impact:
While Ellington has been matched up against stout run defenses, his fantasy production has been driven by the fact that he's the only option in the Arizona backfield. Ellington's YPC has dropped from a sparkling 5.5 in his rookie year to a Mendehallian 3.4 in 2014. Look for the Cardinals to find ways to rest him down the stretch, and for Stepfan Taylor and Marion Grice to take on larger roles.
