Tony Romo

Tony Romo has his biggest stretch of the season coming up

It is good thing that the Cowboys had a bye week because they play Sunday night against the Giants, Thanksgiving Thursday against the Eagles, and then Thursday against the Bears. This schedule will be toughest on the rehabbing quarterback Tony Romo and his back pains. (Fox Sports)

Fantasy Impact:

Romo did not look like his back had too many issues in London against the Jaguars in Week 10 when he completed over 70% of his passes and added three touchdowns, but a lot will be seen in back to back divisional games in a four day span after a bye week. Romo has had spotty results against both the Giants and Eagles in his career, even averaging less than 200 yards per game against the Eagles, but each team is in the lower portion of the NFL in passing defense this year, Giants are 22nd and the Eagles are 28th, so those trends may change. Romo may be having his best year of his career in 2014, as he has paired a high TD% with a low INT% and his highest full season completion percentage. As you look at more advanced statistics, his QB Rating is five points higher this year than any other season and he is also averaging more yards per attempt than any season other than his rookie season in 2006. Tony Romo is a top QB1 option this week and next week for certain and his only tough matchup remaining is with the Colts in Week 16; he should be an instrumental part of your playoff push.
