Alex Smith has a solid performance in Week 12

Alex Smith completed 20 of his 36 passes for 236 yards and two touchdowns in the Chiefs upset loss to the Raiders on Thursday night. Although Smith played well, he was unable to take the Chiefs down the field late in the fourth quarter to complete a game winning drive.
Fantasy Impact:
Alex Smith is a consistent QB2 for fantasy owners. He rarely puts up huge numbers, but typically is efficient. He is averaging 12.8 fantasy points, 20th among quarterbacks, in a standard scoring league on the season. With the bye weeks over after this weekend, Smith should be stashed on the bench for an emergency if you like to hold onto two quarterbacks, or monitored on waivers if you are desperate for a quarterback down the stretch.
