Effectiveness not easy for DeMarco Murray

by Chris Zolli | Mon, Nov 24th 1:54am EST

DeMarco Murray had 121 hard earned yards in a 31-28 thrilling win over the Giants. (Fort Worth Star-Telegram)

Fantasy Impact:

Murray had 24 carries, his first game with 20 or more carries since Week 7 against the Giants, adding 22 receiving yards to finish with just under 150 yards from scrimmage with 144. What made this performance impressive was that he had to grind for the tough yards in this game; he had 11 rushes of three yards or less yet still earned his tenth 100-yard rushing game in 11 games this year. He is a bit under his 2000 rushing yard pace from earlier in the season, but he is still going to be the top running back of the fantasy season. The Eagles, the Cowboys next opponent, rank 20th in the league with a 114.7 rushing yard per game average, so look for Murray to be a top performer yet again in Week 13.
