The Cowboys started a youth movement in the defensive backfield during the offseason, and the Thomas trade chatter will continue to be a major storyline as the team enters camp. Woods, 22, had 33 solo tackles and one pick in 2017. The second-year pro spent the entire offseason as the first-team defense starting free safety. Bringing Thomas over from Seattle in a trade would reunite the star safety with former Seahawks defensive coordinator Kris Richards, who is now coaching the Cowboys' defensive backs.
