R.J. McIntosh signs rookie deal; will open camp on NFI

Giants fifth-round DT R.J. McIntosh signed a four-year, $2.7 million contract Sunday. He will not be immediately available, however, as he has been placed on the active/non-football illness list with an undisclosed illness. (Ralph Vacciano on Twitter )
Fantasy Impact:
McIntosh did not participate in any of the team’s spring drills and was diagnosed with a thyroid condition at the Scouting Combine. It is unknown whether that condition is related to his placement onto the NFI list. In three seasons at the University of Miami (FL), McIntosh recorded 5.5 sacks in 29 games.
