Coach Mike Zimmer still believes in Cordarrelle Patterson

Despite not playing the entire first half and not catching a pass in a game for the first time in his career, Minnesota wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson still has the support of his head coach Mike Zimmer. "It's hard to get involved too much in the game when you're missing that much time," Zimmer said of Patterson, who missed three days of practice while attending a funeral last week. "He came back on Friday and practiced. I'm going to keep saying this over and over until somebody believes me, that I am in this guy's corner." (TwinCities.com-Pioneer Press)

Fantasy Impact:

Zimmer is saying that he still supports Patterson and wants him to succeed, but it doesn't look like it's going to happen this season. Patterson played only three snaps in the second half and saw one target while former reserve Charles Johnson has definitely replaced him in the starting line-up. With 30 catches for 350 receiving yards on the season, Patterson has proven that he can't be trusted in fantasy line-ups.
