When asked about defending Russell Wilson, Philidelphia Defensive Coordinator Bill Davis stated that the Eagles are uniquely equipped to handle it due to the large number of coaches with recent college backgrounds, and the fact that "Our calls for our inside linebackers, our outside linebackers, our reads and how we defend it is nothing new. We just re-open that conversation when we have to face a read-option team like we do this week." (nj.com)
Fantasy Impact:
The Eagles have a split record against traditionally mobile QBs in 2014, on one hand they completely bludgeoned Cam Newton in Week 10, but on the other hand they were sliced up by Colin Kaepernick and Frank Gore in Week 3, so I'd take Davis's remarks with a grain of salt. Wilson is currently FantasyPros #6 ranked QB, and should be started with confidence in your playoff match-up.
