Vernon Davis admittedly 'frustrated'

Vernon Davis stated that this past month has been "very frustrating" but offered a vote of confidence in Colin Kapernick, but stated he wouldn't become a distraction "I'm aware that Colin has a lot of weapons, a lot of receivers. I don't want to add stress to whatever he may be going through, as far as just everybody in his ear. I don't know that everyone's in his ear but it could be a possibility." Davis also added "I just stay in my lane and do whatever I can to contribute to the team." (San Jose Mercury News)
Fantasy Impact:
Raise your hand if you projected Vernon Davis to end the year with 31 catches, 280 yards, and 2 TDs, I don't see many hands. Davis is "healthy" just like Andre Ellington was healthy, both were playing through a myriad of ailments, but had to gut it out due to the fact that there were no other healthy options in their position groups. Its been a bizarre, depressing descent into the "barely stream-worthy TE" category for Davis, and has no business in your playoff lineup. However, there is a bit of silver lining, as Davis is primed to be at an all-time low price in redraft formats in 2015. Its a minor shame that we never got to see his generational athleticism in a vertical offense with a top 10QB.
