Tony Romo plays tough

by Chris Zolli | Tue, Dec 9th 7:35pm EST

Tony Romo has fought through injuries throughout his career, but his overcoming of injuries in the 2014 season may be his most impressive performance. (Dallas Morning News)

Fantasy Impact:

Romo has missed considerable time in 2010 and had back issues that held him out of the end of the 2013 season, but this season Romo has fought injuries all season to have his best season. Romo has missed every Wednesday practice this season and has had rib and back issues, but his numbers are outstanding. His yards-per-attempt average is the highest it’s been in his career, at 8.4, and his completion percentage, 69.1%, is second in the league to New Orleans’ Drew Brees. Furthermore, his 108.8 QB Rating is second only to Aaron Rodgers, as he has touchdowns on more than 7% of passes. Romo is facing the Eagles, who he only had 199 yards and two interceptions against in Week 13, but has averaged greater than 255 yards per game over his six career games in Philadelphia.
