The Browns have ruled out rookie cornerback Denzel Ward (concussion) for Sunday’s game against the Panthers. (Mary Kay Cabot on Twitter )

Ward suffered a concussion in Week 13’s loss to the Texans and was unable to clear the NFL’s concussion protocol. The sensational rookie, who will be missing his first game of his NFL career, has 48 tackles, three interceptions, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, and 11 passes defensed in 12 games (11 starts) this season.
