Percy Harvin has 'sore ribs', is expected to play in season finale

by Tom Woods | Sat, Dec 27th 12:26pm EST

New York Jets wide receiver Percy Harvin intends to play in the team's season finale in Miami against the Dolphins, despite carrying a rib cartilage injury. "It's a little sore, but I think I'm good enough to give it a go," Harvin said Friday, after practicing for the first time this week. "I was able to move around, catch a few balls. I ran a few routes. The biggest thing is pain tolerance. I just feel like I'm good enough to give it a try. I'm going in feeling like I'm going to play." (ESPN)

Fantasy Impact:

Harvin, who has played the last two weeks with an ankle sprain, will be a risky play in Week 17. Not only does he have two injuries, but he is also coming up against the fourth-best passing defense in the league - the same defense that held the Jets to just 13 points in Week 12. In that game Harvin had just one reception for six yards, so he doesn't project well this time around. He should only be used as a flex player if you're desperate.
