Greg Olsen held in check by Seahawks again

by Kevin C. Wilson | Mon, Jan 12th 11:10am EST

Carolina tight end Greg Olsen caught four passes for 58 yards in the Panthers' 31-17 loss to Seattle in the NFC divisional round of the playoffs on Saturday. Olsen didn't make a single catch in the first-half and had three of his four in the fourth quarter after the game had basically already been decided.

Fantasy Impact:

While Olsen played better on Saturday then he did in his first matchup with the Seahawks this season (one catch for 16 yards in Week 8), it still probably didn't help his fantasy owners much. Olsen continued his late-season slide as he totaled only 10 catches for 143 yards in his final four games of the year. The most surprising aspect of his regression is that Olsen had produced back-to-back 10-catch games immediately prior to his downturn. Given the current state of the tight end position, Olsen should still be viewed as a rock-solid TE1 heading into fantasy drafts next season.
