Redskins hire Bill Callahan as offensive line coach

by Jonathan Ebanks | Fri, Jan 16th 12:41pm EST

On Thursday, the Washington Redskins hired former Dallas Cowboys' offensive coordinator Bill Callahan to be their offensive line coach. (Washington Post)

Fantasy Impact:

Former Redskins' offensive line coach Chris Foerster interviewed with the Bills for the same position, so Callahan has taken his spot. Callahan is a reputable offensive coordinator who has head coaching experience. His Cowboys' offensive line was thought to be the best in football this season, being most proficient in pass blocking. The Redskins' have not had consistency on the line in the last couple of years due to injuries and stretches of poor play, but Callahan's blocking scheme could improve the line and Alfred Morris' numbers to boot. It's a good hire by Washington.
