SD Chargers blog rates Ameer Abudullah as an 'upgrade' over current RBs

boltsfromtheblue.com rates Nebraska RB Ameer Abdullah as a 2nd round talent, viewing him as an every-down back and a possible special teams contributor. They state "Abdullah is an upgrade over any running back on the roster right now. He's better before the line of scrimmage, and is a better natural runner than any of the current runners. He can flip the field for you on special teams, not only make defenders miss but take advantage of every crease and turn those into 20+ yard runs...He can offer plenty to San Diego and if they do draft Abdullah, the Chargers got an upgrade at running back." Fantasy Impact:

Abudullah is coming off of an impressive Senior Bowl week, and is a favorite of Seahawks blogger Zach Whitman as well. With Ryan Matthews scheduled to hit the open market, the Chargers may elect to add a RB in the draft. While Donald Brown and Branden Oliver are still on the roster, a talented back like Abdullah would eventually rise to the top, in a deceptively nice fantasy situation. Even if Matthews is retained, keep an eye on this situation.
