Jacoby Jones

Baltimore Ravens WR Jacoby Jones has an uncertain future

by Stacie Rigby | Wed, Feb 4th 10:03pm EST

Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Jacoby Jones did not have a good 2014 season and could be a potential release. Jones signed a four-year, $12 million contract with the Ravens last March, which included $4.5 million guaranteed. He’ll cost the Ravens about $3.4 million against the salary cap. Releasing Jones would save about $750,000 in salary-cap space. He only caught nine passes for 131 yards for the entire season. However, as a kick returner, he is greased lightning. He averaged 30.6 yards per return, which was the second most in the NFL for 2014. All fans remember the 108-yard return which resulted in a touchdown during Week 9 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Fantasy Impact:

Plain and simple, Jones is fast. This veteran with the well-known long strides, and the proper blockage, can sprint downfield effortlessly. This 6'2" wide receiver slipped on the depth chart which has his career with the Ravens a little shaky. He ends the season with 978 kick-off return yards with one touchdown.
