On March 2nd, the Denver Broncos placed a non-exclusive franchise tag on Broncos WR Demaryius Thomas. (ESPN)
Fantasy Impact:
The Broncos chose to franchise tag Demaryius Thomas over Julius Thomas. Julius' fantasy value could significantly deteriorate depending on how the next few weeks go in free agency. The Browns and Jaguars are currently the leading candidates to sign Julius. It appears that the Broncos will be giving TE Virgil Green a larger role in Gary Kubiak's run-based offense.
