Giants have interest in Roy Helu

by Jonathan Ebanks | Mon, Mar 9th 12:36pm EDT

According to Jordan Raanan from NJ.com, the Giants have inquired about Redskins' rusher Roy Helu and Falcons' tailback Antone Smith. (NJ.com)

Fantasy Impact:

Both guys are seen as scatbacks to compliment Rashad Jennings and Andre Williams. Helu, who caught a 74-yard touchdown pass against the Giants last year, has historically been a productive back behind Alfred Morris. Regardless, Smith has captured more of the Giants' interest because he has shown more versatility and big-play potential. Neither of these guys have the potential and explosion of the retired David Wilson, but they should come cheap and fit into the Giants' scheme well.
