Eagles sign RB Ryan Mathews

The Philadelphia Eagles have signed Ex-San Diego Chargers RB Ryan Mathews to a 3-year deal worth $11.5 million. With $5 million guaranteed. (Adam Shecter)
Fantasy Impact:
The issue for Ryan Mathews is whether he can stay healthy. He hasn't been able to thus far in his career, but he is a former 1st round pick, who at age 27 still has some tread left on the tires. In 2013, he did play in all 16 games for San Diego, and had 1,255 yards, averaging 4.4 yards per carry. He added 6 rushing touchdowns. Mathews has also caught as many as 50 balls in a season, so he does bring that dual threat. I would be a big buyer of Mathews at this time, as he should get plenty of yardage and touchdowns in the Eagles high octane offense.
