DeMarco Murray reaches out to Eagles

by Clinton H. | Wed, Mar 11th 5:36pm EDT

The league rushing champion has reached out to Eagles coach Chip Kelly to express his desire to play for the team. There are roadblocks though as the Eagles have made it clear that they will be financially prudent and they also signed former Chargers running back Ryan Mathews. (ESPN)

Fantasy Impact:

After carrying the ball a career high 392 times in 2014, the Eagles up-tempo offense would surely challenge Murray's body. While teams have been signing players during free agency at the pace of the Eagles offense, it's still largely unknown where Murray will land in 2015. Murray is very close with the Eagles new QB Sam Bradford as the two roomed and played together for Oklahoma from 2007-09. That friendship and familiarity would only benefit both players should Murray somehow sign with the team.
