DeAngelo Williams signs with the Pittsburgh Steelers

Running back DeAngelo Williams has signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He will be the backup to Le'veon Bell, who led the AFC last year with 1,361 yards. Williams will be a key change of pace back for the Steelers to give Bell a break when needed. (Pittsburgh Tribune Review)
Fantasy Impact:
The Carolina Panthers ran a two running back system with DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart, so their fantasy value would waver week to week. Neither guy was a solid play week to week, and nothing will change when Williams come to Pittsburgh. Williams is a great addition to the Steelers as a football team, but Williams will not be a great fantasy option because he is riding shotgun to Pro Bowler Le'veon Bell. If there is an injury to Bell at any point in the season or Bell gets suspended for any amount of time due to drug possession charges, Williams will be a great waiver wire addition once the season begins.
