Redskins general manager Scot McCloughan told CSN Washington reporter Tarik El-Bashir that the team has had some discussions about whether to pickup quarterback Robert Griffin III's fifth-year option or not. The teams has until May 3 to pick up the option, and it would give Griffin $16 million in 2016. (Tarik El-Bashir on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

After Griffin won the Offensive Rookie of the Year Award in 2012, no one would have ever guessed that the team would be thinking about not picking up his fifth-year option for 2016. After two less than stellar seasons, Griffin's future with the team is up in the air. It wouldn't be surprising for the team to shy away from his option at this point.
