Jay Gruden hopes RGIII gains confidence from being named the starter

Redskins' coach Jay Gruden is very hopeful that Robert Griffin III would get a confidence boost after being named the starting quarterback for the team. (Washington Post)
Fantasy Impact:
This is no way solidifies that Griffin will be the starter come Week 1. Kirk Cousins or Colt McCoy could always steal the job away in preseason and Jay Gruden would probably prefer it that way. The Redskins also wouldn't hesitate to draft Marcus Mariota at the fifth spot if he was available and the best player on their draft board, further complicating the situation. At this point and time, though, it's Griffin's job to lose.
