Vernon Davis envisions success in 2015

Following a dreadful, injury-filled 2014 campaign, Pro Bowl tight end Vernon Davis is optimistic about 2015. In an interview with 49ers' Team Reporter Joe Fann, Davis was quoted saying "we're going to be successful this year." (Joe Fann of the 49ers)

The decline of form Davis suffered in 2014 was frustrating for Davis. Due to injuries, especially one back injury, Davis could not put together a solid season like he is known for. The 49ers' tight end amassed only 245 yards on a measly 26 receptions, and two touchdowns. This was a steep decline from his 52 receptions, 850 yards, and 13 touchdowns from the year before. Look for Davis to return to his freak-athlete ways in 2015, fully healthy and ready to keep his starting spot with the 49ers in a contract year.
