Riley Cooper to move to the slot?

by Neil Dutton | Sun, May 24th 5:46am EDT

Phil Sheridan believes Riley Coopers hefty contract will keep him in the starting lineup, but thinks he could switch inside to the slot if Chip Kelly moves second year wideout Jordan Matthews outside. (Phil Sheridan on ESPN)

Fantasy Impact:

Cooper had minimal fantasy impact in 2014, despite his targets and receptions both increasing. His average depth of target, yards and touchdowns both fell. His limited time in the slot has been relatively productive however. He has hauled in 70% of his targets over the last three seasons (compared with an overall mark of 58%) and sees an average of 10 yards per target against a wider 7.6. He's still no more than a desperation WR5 at this stage.
