Rookie Dres Anderson practicing without a knee brace

by Brian Tesch | Sun, May 24th 1:49pm EDT

Undrafted rookie free agent Dres Anderson is practicing without a knee brace, a mere seven months after a knee injury ended his Senior season at Utah. When asked about his knee, Anderson stated “Basically, I just treat (the knee) myself,” Anderson said. “I’m not doing anything special for it. I’m continuing strengthening it in the weight room but there’s nothing I’m doing especially for it.” (49ers.com)

Fantasy Impact:

The son of former NFL WR Flipper Anderson, Dres profiles as a situational deep-threat in the pros. For now he has to fight with Jerome Simpson and a spate of other interesting UDFA's for the 49ers 5th WR spot, but he's one to keep an eye on in deeper formats. Anderson has no fantasy relevance in any format at this time.
