Anquan Boldin will retire with 'a lot left in the tank'

by Brian Tesch | Fri, Jun 5th 1:38am EDT

In an interview with Bleacher Report, Anquan Boldin endorsed new HC Jim Tomsula, stated that he missed playing defense (he had played in high school), and perhaps most importantly stated that “I'll finish the game on my own terms," he said. "I don't want to overstay my welcome. If I'm not playing at a high level, I will leave on my terms. But I will also say for myself that when I do retire, I will have a lot left in the tank.” (49ers.com)

Fantasy Impact:

Boldin sure has plenty left in the tank, posting his first back-to-back 80 catch seasons at age 33 and 34 in 2013 and 2014. While he may not be for long, look for Boldin to exceed his current ADP (he's the 47th WR off the board as of this update) due to the fact that he's one of the craftiest/nastiest wideouts in the NFL, and the 49ers will be forced to throw due to the fact their defense has taken a major step back.
