49ers T Anthony Davis retires

This was completely unexpected and is a massive blow to the 49er offensive line. He has been a mainstay of the line for five years but missed nine games last year due to injuries. Seventh-rounder Trent Brown, Erik Pears, and Alex Boone are candidates to start at right tackle. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)
