Ryan Mathews showing well at Eagles OTAs

Offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur has already noted that "it takes a village" at the running back position. After jettisoning Lesean McCoy, the Eagles went out and signed Murray, last year's rushing champ, as well as Mathews, the former first-round pick who was limited to six games last season because of an ankle injury. Mathews, 27, rushed for a career-high 1,255 yards the previous season in San Diego. While the exact workload distribution is not yet clear -- Darren Sproles also remains in the mix -- Mathews stands to get a fair enough share to return some flex value.
