Cowboys OC Scott Linehan says run-heavy strategy will not change in 2015

by Steve Painter | Sat, Aug 1st 4:11pm EDT

That's quite a statement! To put the onus on unproven Joseph Randle is a risky bet for the Cowboys. Romo is as healthy as he has been in several years but even with the departure of DeMarco Murray they plan to be a ground-and-pound team. They are banking on the well established offensive line they have but if Randle can't handle the load, they will be running their offense on the fly. (Dallas Morning News)

Fantasy Impact:

If Randle works out, drafters will be happy with their high-risk pick. But you should hedge you bet a bit by having a solid back-up plan. Romo is healthy, but certainly not top-tier, and the question that drafters have to ask is: How will he respond if Randle can't handle the load? There are a lot of question marks with this offensive plan. They have no realistic back-up to Randle and that makes the only 'safe' pick in this offense Dez Bryant, who will get his receptions and yardage, along with Terrance Williams and Cole Beasley, of course.
