Philadelphia Eagles WR Riley Cooper exited Saturday's preseason game with a thumb injury. X-rays on the injured thumb were negative, but Cooper was held out for the remainder of the game. (ESPN)
Fantasy Impact:
Cooper was a disappointment for fantasy owners last year after a solid 2013 campaign. Despite his expected starting status in a dynamic Eagles' offense, Cooper isn't likely to be a consistent fantasy presence. The Eagles have several other options at WR, including free agent addition Miles Austin, Nelson Agholor and Jordan Matthews, as well as several pass-catching RBs that are likely to steal targets. Still, considering Chip Kelly's affinity with his run-blocking ability, Cooper isn't expected to lose much playing time, at least early in the season.
