Russell Wilson, Seahawks struggling to find their form

by Julius Bzozowski | Steelers Correspondent | Sun, Aug 30th 6:42pm EDT

Russell Wilson did nothing to silence his critics Saturday night, as the Seahawks starters only produced two field goals versus the San Diego Chargers. Wilson went 7-for-15 passing for 56 yards with four rushing attempts for 23 yards. The Seattle starting offense has not reached the end-zone once this preseason. (Pro Football Talk )

Fantasy Impact:

While it is still preseason, the fact that the starting offense could not get into the end-zone despite playing into the third quarter is troubling. The third preseason contest is usually the last serious tune-up before the season, and Wilson owners may have cause for concern if the offense sputters in the regular season. Wilson has proven his value in the past three seasons, and is considered a top-of-the-line fantasy QB1 play. Wilson is currently the Fantasy Pros' #3 ranked quarterback. With Marshawn Lynch barely playing this preseason and the precautionary resting of Russell Okung, the offensive hiccups could be nothing. Seattle's offense, health-wise, should be all systems go for Week 1.
