Robert Turbin suffering from high ankle sprain

by John Trupin | Wed, Sep 2nd 3:13am EDT

According to Pete Carroll, Robert Turbin suffered a "significant high ankle sprain" during last Saturday's game, which is likely the reason for Fred Jackson's visit and potential signing. (Liz Matthews 710 ESPN on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Turbin is an unexciting runner who nonetheless has been the true backup to Marshawn Lynch the last few seasons in Seattle. As high ankle sprains frequently linger, Turbin seems likely not to be ready for the start of the season. If you own him as a Lynch handcuff, monitor the Fred Jackson situation very closely. Turbin, even as a handcuff, does not need to be owned at this time, but if Jackson has been dropped already in your league he would be very much worth snagging speculatively.
