Dolphins claim QB Logan Thomas off waivers

The Dolphins’ backup quarterback situation became more interesting Sunday when the club claimed Logan Thomas off waivers from Arizona to be their third-string quarterback. Thomas would back up starter Ryan Tannehill and No. 2 man Matt Moore, my colleague on the Dolphins beat, Andrew Abramson, confirmed. (Palm Beach Post)
Fantasy Impact:
From what Logan Thomas has put on film for the Arizona Cardinals, he has shown flashes of his skill and ability. He is obviously better than anyone the Dolphins had behind Tannehill and Moore, so it definitely adds depth to the QB room. Hopefully, for Miami's sake, he never sees the field, that would mean injuries have derailed any chance of a playoff birth. Thomas is still a raw, unpolished player who needs to learn more about the position and develop touch on passes, he is simply insurance at the QB position for the Dolphins.
