Dallas starting RB an unkown

by John Muguerza | Mon, Sep 7th 1:48pm EDT

The Dallas Morning News reports Joseph Randle as the Cowboys starting RB, but numerous creditable sources such as ESPN, CBS Sports, and Fox Sports all have Darren McFadden as the Cowboys listed starter. (The Dallas Morning News)

Fantasy Impact:

This is just another example of the uncertainty that will plague fantasy owners if they invest in the Dallas backfield. Unless Joseph Randle falls past his current ADP of RB #21 or 63rd overall it might not be worth drafting him due to the unknown status and conflicting reports surrounding the Dallas backfield. The best value for a Cowboys RB may be injury prone RB McFadden. McFadden's current ADP is RB #37 or 121st overall, according to FantasyPros.com. The Cowboys may very well ride the hot hand on a per game basis, making it nearly impossible to determine who to start. All of this doesn't include the role scatback RB Lance Dunbar will play and the fact that Dallas just traded for former second round pick RB Christine Michael from the Seattle Seahawks.
